First Annual Conference
At the end of January 2012, the first conference of the Humane Agrarian Centre took place, with also European participants. On the renovated farm of Prem Singh, farmers gave profound lessons on co-existence and practical training on Indian traditional agriculture.
Every day started with yoga, and ended most of the time with a musical party : classical Indian music, religious music, dance, acrobatics, and traditional harvest songs. In India, culture is omnipresent and limitless.
We are convinced that this new center can become of a great importance for the re-sourcing of agriculture, that now is in a global crisis. Here, a great courage has been shown to liberate a simple, but essential set of ideas for the sake of the earth and humanity. This center can proudly bear its name: Humane Agrarian Centre.
The Humane Agrarian Centre
